P.I.G. Visual Effects

A live-action director, specializing in "effects-centric" content. He works in the realms of Music Videos, Featurettes and Commercials. His futuristic clips have been featured on The Sci-Fi Channel, MTV2 and Much More Music; at international film festival screenings including No Dance Film Festival, South By Southwest, Sci-fi-London, Video Playhouse and Fantasporto Fantasy Film Festival.  

A seven-time Midwest Emmy Award winner, Steven has been involved in both the independent film and television arenas for many years. In 1991, shortly after graduating from the Community Film Workshop Chicago, his self-produced short film "The Toys of War" won honors at the Houston International Film Festival. After several years of shooting colleagues' independent films and developing his own projects, Steven changed gears and entered the broadcast world. During his 4 years at WB affiliate WCIU-TV Chicago, he acted as lead Avid editor and directed numerous spots and original programs. Steven founded the hybrid production/post company Astropolitan Pictures in 1997 with his partner, VFX Supervisor Andrew Honacker.
